Adventure BlogOn behalf of the 3rd Annual Kayak for a Cause Event, we would like to extend our most sincere gratitude and thanks to all involved in this wonderful fundraiser. From the over twenty participants who made the journey around Walloon Lake, to the support of our many sponsors, we could not have done it without you. Your efforts helped to raise over $10,000 in scholarships for participants to attend the Camp Daggett Adventure Center (CDAC), funds that will go a long way to give many an experience at Camp Daggett they may normally have not received. Special thanks goes out to all of the Walloon Lake residents who purchased sponsorship dock flags for the event and cheered us on along our way, as well as to Walloon Lake residents Mark and Laurie McMurray who opened up their home and provided meals and a restful environment for our intrepid kayakers. Last, but certainly not least - a big thank you to Mark Tarquini and our Board of Trustees for the wonderful party at the end of the trip.
