Camp Daggett Summer Camp

Camp Daggett offers eight one-week coed camping sessions starting in mid-June and ending in mid-August. Campers range in age from 7 through 14 years. They are housed in rustic cabins designed for 10 campers and two staff members. The program answers a child's search for adventure in an environment that is upbeat and wholesome.

Camp Daggett Summer Camp Application

Please note: We are now full for the following sessions of summer camp for the gender noted.  If you would like to be added to a waiting list for that week, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with your name and telephone number.  (Please note though that the chances of moving from a waiting list in to a spot are often very slim, so we recommend you instead just enroll for another week.)

Week 4 - July 8 - 14 - Girls
Week 6 - July 22 - 28 - Girls
Week 7 - July 29 - August 4 - Girls
Week 8 - August 5 - 11 - Girls

Our applications will be dropped off at the local schools and chambers of commerce during the morning and afternoon of Wednesday, January 4.  On this same day, a hard copy will also be mailed to all of last year's campers and to anyone who has called to request their address be added.

Please remember that registration is done on a first come, first served basis.  When the applications are available, please do not hesitate to send yours in; some of our sessions fill up within a matter of weeks!

Camp Daggett Scholarships

Camp Daggett Scholarships

The Board of Trustees, Camp Daggett's governing body, maintains a scholarship fund to cover fees for some underprivileged children. Places are also reserved for children with special needs who are mainstreamed into various camp activities.

Camp Daggett Summer Camp Reminders

Camper Arrival is Sunday 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Our gates will open at exactly 3:00 p.m. so you can then begin the camper registration process. Our camp staff will help guide you to a parking spot at that time. If weather allows, the camper registration process will start at our recreation field; in the case of rain or other inclement weather, the registration process will begin in our recreation building. (If your child is participating in one of the wilderness adventure programs, he or she would register in our adventure center.)

Typical Day at Camp Daggett

Morning
Before breakfast each day campers have the option of taking part in one of two activities:

  • The Polar Bear Club - A quick, refreshing dip in Walloon Lake
  • Early Morning Recreation - A rousing game of kickball or soccer

Packing for Summer Camp

Parents & Guardians: Please assist your camper(s) when packing for camp. We rely on your supervision to ensure the appropriate items and clothing articles are selected. Please label everything!

An important reminder:  As part of the registration process, parents checking in medications for their child now meet directly in the health cabin with the Camp Health Officer (CHO) to discuss camper's needs and to hand in the medications.  All medications must now be brought to camp in their original bottles or packages!

Camp Daggett Scholarship

 

All sessions will offer campers an exciting opportunity to challenge themselves and learn new skills in a wilderness setting. Each will begin with a day and a half on our challenge ropes course in order to increase the campers' self-confidence and improve their communication and teamwork skills. The group will then put their new found skills to the test as they head off on one of three fun and exciting wilderness adventures.
